Name Badges
Delegates are requested to wear their name badge at all times during the congress.
The colours of the name badges have the following significance:
Blue:      Participant, Young Scientist, Student
Orange: Faculty
Yellow:   Accompanying person
Green:    Exhibitor
Purple:   Press
Red:       Congress staff


Congress Language
The official language of the CINP Congress 2010 is English. Simultaneous translations might be offered during the satellite symposia depending on sponsor’s decisions. Some of the Educational Review Sessions will be held in Chinese, Japanese or Korean language, which will not be translated.


Abstract Book
All abstracts will be published in the online supplement of the International Journal of Neuropsychopharmacology (IJNP), Cambridge University Press. Abstract CD ROM
The abstract CD ROM of the XXVII CINP Congress 2010 is available upon presentation of a voucher in the technical exhibition at Pfizer booth no. 14 in the Theatre Foyer. The voucher is included in the congress bag. The abstract CD ROM is supported by Pfizer Inc.


Search your Programme and Abstracts Terminals

Several terminals are available at the CINP booth for delegates to create their programme
schedule or print out abstracts.


Poster Awards
Clinical, translational, and basic neuroscience research awards are given. Those presenting the best posters receive a certificate. These awards serve to encourage young scientists (under 35) who are actively involved in clinical and preclinical research. The final selection of Poster Awards will be made on the basis of the study’s scientific excellence during the congress. The awards will be handed out during the closing
ceremony on Thursday, 10 June 2010.


First Aid

First aid can be provided through the congress counter at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) located on the mezzanine level.


Mobile Phones

Participants are kindly requested to keep their mobile phones turned off while attending the
scientific sessions in the meeting rooms.

Car Park at HKCEC
The closest car park to HKCEC is Convention Plaza Car Park. Parking fee is HK$ 24 per hour.


Taxis at HKCEC
The taxi station is at Harbour Road Entrance of HKCEC. All taxi prices in Hong Kong are counted in metres.


Public Transportation
Hong Kong has an excellent public transport system. Visitors have the choice of MTR (Mass
Transit Railway), trains, buses, trams, ferries and taxis. Public transportation covers extensive areas of Hong Kong, and has signs in English and Chinese. The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) can easily be reached with public transportation. The station is: Wanchai.


Insurance
The congress fee does not include insurance. All participants are advised to arrange for their
own insurance. Health and accident insurance is recommended and has to be purchased in
your country of origin. The organisers will not be responsible for a loss or damage of personal belongings.

Certificates of attendance will be handed out upon demand at the registration counter.

Wireless LAN / Internet Center
Wireless LAN / Wifi is installed free of charge from Monday, 7 June until Thursday, 10 June
2010 on level 1. A password is not required in order to access the wireless LAN. Several internet terminals are available in the exhibition area.


Speakers Centre
The speakers center is located in the room S228 on level 2 of the HKCEC. Speakers are asked to hand in their CD ROM or USB stick, containing the PowerPoint presentation (IBM format or compatible, no multisession) preferably one day before but at the latest 90 minutes prior to the presentation. The presentation will be transferred to the central congress server and will be available afterwards on a special congress notebook in the hall of the presentation. Due to time and technical reasons we kindly ask the speakers not to use their own notebook. Several PC working stations areprovided in the speakers center where speakers can also work on their PC charts in a quiet area. Technical staff will be glad to assist.

Programme Changes
The organisers cannot assume liability for any changes in the congress programme due to external or unforeseen circumstances.


Coffee breaks and lunches
Coffee and tea will be served during the morning and afternoon coffee breaks from Monday
7 June to Thursday, 10 June 2010 free of charge to all participants wearing congress name
badges.
A complimentary snack buffet will be offered during lunch time for all registered congress delegates at various stations in the exhibition area during the congress on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.


Restaurants
Various restaurants and shopping possibilities are available within the congress venue. The HKCEC provides restaurants on different levels.


Cloakroom
A cloakroom can be used free of charge on level 1 of the HKCEC from Sunday, 6 June
through Thursday, 10 June 2010. Delegates can also store their luggage there.


Force Majeure
For reasons beyond its control (such as war, strikes, lockouts, riots or any such civil disturbances, any acts of God, including but not limited to earthquakes, floods, droughts and typhoons and any other cause of circumstance of whatsoever nature beyond its control that have an impact on the arrangements, timetables or planning of CINP congress and its corresponding activities in Hong Kong, including supporting programme tours), CINP has the right to immediately alter or cancel the activities or events or any of the arrangements, timetables, plans or other items relating directly or indirectly thereto. No party involved shall be entitled to any compensation for damages that result from such alteration or cancellation
